Debido a su capacidad para eliminar células presentadoras de antígenos y su actividad efectora mediada por linfocina, las células Th1 se asocian con reacciones intensas de hipersensibilidad retardada.

Due to their ability to kill antigen-presenting cells and their lymphokine-mediated effector activity, Th1 cells are associated with vigorous delayed-type hypersensitivity reactions.
