Scope note: Enfermedad respiratoria aguda que afecta a los seres humanos y está causada por el virus Muerto Canyon, cuyo reservorio primario en roedores es el ratón venado Peromyscus maniculatus. Este síndrome, identificado por vez primera en el suroeste de los Estados Unidos, suele caracterizarse por fiebre, mialgias, cefalea, tos e insuficiencia respiratoria rápida.
