Scope note: Trastorno relativamente frecuente que se caracteriza por un patrón específico de temblores más pronunciados en las extremidades superiores y el cuello y que inducen titubeos de la cabeza. El temblor suele ser ligero, pero cuando es intenso puede ser discapacitante. En algunas familias puede darse un patrón hereditario autosómico dominante (es decir, temblor familiar).
