Scope note: Síndrome caracterizado por múltiples anomalías, RETRASO MENTAL, y trastornos del movimiento. Suele haber anomalías en el cráneo y de otro tipo, espasmos infantiles frecuentes (ESPASMOS INFANTILES), paroxismos de risa prolongados y que se desencadenan fácilmente (de ahí "feliz"); movimiento de muñeco inestable (de ahí "títere"), protusión lingual, retraso motor, ATAXIA, HIPOTONÍA MUSCULAR y una cara peculiar. Scope note: A syndrome characterized by multiple abnormalities, MENTAL RETARDATION, and movement disorders. Present usually are skull and other abnormalities, frequent infantile spasms (SPASMS, INFANTILE); easily provoked and prolonged paroxysms of laughter (hence "happy"); jerky puppetlike movements (hence "puppet"); continuous tongue protrusion; motor retardation; ATAXIA; MUSCLE HYPOTONIA; and a peculiar facies.
