Scope note: Grupo de undecapéptidos cíclicos, estrechamente relacionados, de los hongos Trichoderma polysporum y Cylindocarpon lucidum. Tienen cierta acción antineoplásica y antifúngica, así como importantes efectos inmunosupresores. Se ha propuesto el uso de ciclosporina como adyuvantes en el trasplante de tejidos y órganos, a fin de evitar el rechazo del injerto.

Scope note: A group of closely related cyclic undecapeptides from the fungi Trichoderma polysporum and Cylindocarpon lucidum. They have some antineoplastic and antifungal action and significant immunosuppressive effects. Cyclosporins have been proposed as adjuvants in tissue and organ transplantation to suppress graft rejection.
