Descriptor English: Ether-A-Go-Go Potassium Channels
Descriptor Spanish: Canales de Potasio Éter-A-Go-Go
Descriptor canales del potasio éter-a-go-go
Entry term(s) canal de potasio EAG
canal de potasio oncogénico éter-a-go-go

RDF Unique Identifier: https://id.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/D051638
Scope note: A family of voltage-gated potassium channels that are characterized by long N-terminal and C-terminal intracellular tails. They are named from the Drosophila protein whose mutation causes abnormal leg shaking under ether anesthesia. Their activation kinetics are dependent on extracellular MAGNESIUM and PROTON concentration.
