Scope note:	Superfamilia de pequeñas proteínas que están relacionadas con los procesos de FUSIÓN DE MEMBRANAS, de transporte intracelular de proteínas y procesos secretores. Comparten un motivo SNARE homólogo. Las proteínas SNARE se dividen en subfamilias: QA-SNARE, QB-SNARE, QC-SNARE y R-SNARE. La formación de un complejo SNARE (constituido por cada uno de los cuatro tipos diferentes de dominio (Qa, QB, Qc y R) interviene en los procesos de FUSIÓN DE MEMBRANAS. Tras la fusión de la membrana, los complejos SNARE se disocian por la acción de los NSF (FACTORES SENSIBLES A LA N-ETILMALEIMIDA), conjuntamente con PROTEÍNAS SOLUBLES DE ANCLAJE DE NSF, es decir, SNAP (no relacionado con SNAP 25).

Scope note:

A superfamily of small proteins which are involved in the MEMBRANE FUSION events, intracellular protein trafficking and secretory processes. They share a homologous SNARE motif. The SNARE proteins are divided into subfamilies: QA-SNARES; QB-SNARES; QC-SNARES; and R-SNARES. The formation of a SNARE complex (composed of one each of the four different types SNARE domains (Qa, Qb, Qc, and R)) mediates MEMBRANE FUSION. Following membrane fusion SNARE complexes are dissociated by the NSFs (N-ETHYLMALEIMIDE-SENSITIVE FACTORS), in conjunction with SOLUBLE NSF ATTACHMENT PROTEIN, i.e., SNAPs (no relation to SNAP 25.)
