Scope note: Banda lineal de células en rápida proliferación que se inicia cerca del extremo posterior del embrión y crece cranealmente. La línea primitiva se forma durante la GASTRULACIÓN, por la emigración convergente de células ectodérmicas primarias (EPIBLASTO). El nódulo situado en el extremo cefálico de la línea se denomina NÓDULO DE HENSEN.
