Scope note: Constitución cromosómica anormal de las células, debida a la adición o sustracción de CROMOSOMAS o de pares de cromosomas. En una célula normal diploide (DIPLOIDÍA), la pérdida de un par de cromosomas se conoce como nulisomía (símbolo: 2N-2), la pérdida de un solo cromosoma es MONOSOMÍA (símbolo: 2N-1), la adición de un par de cromosomas es una tetrasomía (símbolo: 2N+2), la adición de un solo cromosoma es una TRISOMÍA (símbolo: 2N+1).
