Note d'application:

Kampo literally means the Han Method, referring to China's herbal system that developed during the Han dynasty. Therefore, Kampo is the Japanese approach to Traditional Chinese Medicine, adapted to its culture since the 7th century. Based on Chinese methods such as acupuncture, moxibustion, herbology and food therapy, it differs from the practice of Chinese phytotherapy in mainland China primarily in that it is based on a different core collection of important herbal formulas and a somewhat different group of primary herbs. . Kampo emphasizes practice over theory and focuses on diagnosis and treatment based on the concept of 'Sho', which are the patient's symptoms at a given time. The treatment is carried out using specific herbal formulas corresponding to each 'Sho', which is the patient with symptoms at a given time recognized in terms of Qi (well-being, energy, illness, vigor), blood and water; the eight categories (Yin-Yang, hypofunction and hyperfunction, heat and cold, surfaces and interior); the five parenchymatous viscera; and the six stages of the disease.
