| Note d'application: | Included in this subcategory are the traditional medicines, medical systems and health practices of the indigenous peoples of Asia. In the case of East Asia, for example: In East Asian countries, especially in China (including the Taiwan region), Korea and Japan, the main therapeutic methods of traditional medicine are acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, medicinal herbs (called kampo in Japan) and manual therapies (called tuina in China, chuna in Korea and anma-massage-shiatsu and judotherapy in Japan) (Park, et al. 2012) (Park, et al. 2012). Also included are Tibetan and Thai medicine, among others. In South Asia they include Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, naturopathy, homeopathy, Sowa Rigpa, Siddha, Unani and different medicinal herbs specific to different regions and cultures. |
