Scope note: Cantidad secretada de una sustancia por parte de una determinada célula, órgano u organismo, a lo largo de un determinado período de tiempo. Generalmente se aplica a aquellas sustancias que se forman en tejidos glandulares y son liberadas en fluidos biológicos, por ej. la tasa secretora de corticosteroides por parte de la corteza suprarrenal, o la tasa secretora de ácido gástrico por la mucosa del estómago.
