Scope note: Proteínas de la superficie celular que poseen alta afinidad para unirse a las hormonas pancreáticas y que generan cambios intracelulares que influyen en el comportamiento de las células. Estos receptores se unen al glucagón (segregado por las células alfa), insulina (segregada por las células beta), somatostatina (segregada por las células delta), y péptidos pancreáticos (segregados por las células PP). Algunas de estas hormonas y receptores intervienen también en la neurotransmisión.
