Scope note: Tocoferol natural y uno de los tocoferoles antioxidantes más potentes. Muestra actividad antioxidante en virtud del hidrógeno fenólico del núcleo 2H-1-benzopirano-6-ol. Posee cuatro grupos metilo en el núcleo 6-cromanol. La forma natural de alfa-tocoferol es más activa que la mezcla racémica sintética dl-alfa-tocoferol.
