Scope note: Afección causada por uno o más episodios de TROMBOSIS VENOSA PROFUNDA, generalmente en las piernas. Las características clínicas comprenden EDEMA, DOLOR fijo y continuo y CALAMBRES MUSCULARES en las piernas. Cuando la hinchazón de las piernas es grave se sigue de ulceración de la piel, lo que se denomina la ÚLCERA DE ESTASIS.
