Descriptor English: Phenylethanolamine N-Methyltransferase
Descriptor Spanish: Feniletanolamina N-Metiltransferasa
Descriptor feniletanolamina N-metiltransferasa
Entry term(s) fenetanolamina N-metiltransferasa
(Enzyme Nomenclature, 1992) EC 2.1.1.28.
Descriptor Portuguese: Feniletanolamina N-Metiltransferase
Descriptor French: Phenylethanolamine n-methyltransferase
Entry term(s): Noradrenaline N-methyltransferase
Tree number(s): D08.811.913.555.500.700
RDF Unique Identifier: https://id.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/D010625
Scope note: A methyltransferase that catalyzes the reaction of S-adenosyl-L-methionine and phenylethanolamine to yield S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and N-methylphenylethanolamine. It can act on various phenylethanolamines and converts norepinephrine into epinephrine. (From Enzyme Nomenclature, 1992) EC 2.1.1.28.
