Scope note: Síndrome clínico caracterizado por la aparición, generalmente en la lactancia o la niñez, de una candidiasis crónica y a menudo diseminada en piel, uñas o mucosas. Puede ser secundaria a uno o más síndromes de inmunodeficiencia, heredados como rasgo autosómico recesivo, o asociados a defectos de la inmunidad celular, a trastornos endocrinos, estomatitis dental o enfermedades malignas.

Scope note: A clinical syndrome characterized by development, usually in infancy or childhood, of a chronic, often widespread candidiasis of skin, nails, and mucous membranes. It may be secondary to one of the immunodeficiency syndromes, inherited as an autosomal recessive trait, or associated with defects in cell-mediated immunity, endocrine disorders, dental stomatitis, or malignancy.
