Scope note: Género de plantas de la familia FABACEAE. El heno enmohecido del trébol dulce amarillo o meliloto, en el que la cumarina del trébol se convierte en DICUMAROL, es el agente causante del trastorno hemorrágico del ganado conocido como "enfermedad hemorrágica del trébol dulce" y aparece en la historia del desarrollo de los fármacos anticoagulantes.

Scope note: A plant genus of the family FABACEAE. Molded yellow sweet clover hay, in which the coumarin of sweet clover is converted to DICOUMAROL, is the causative agent of a hemorrhagic disorder in cattle - "hemorrhagic sweet clover disease" and featured in the history of anticoagulant drug development.
