El heno enmohecido del trébol dulce amarillo o meliloto, en el que la cumarina del trébol se convierte en DICUMAROL, es el agente causante del trastorno hemorrágico del ganado conocido como "enfermedad hemorrágica del trébol dulce" y aparece en la historia del desarrollo de los fármacos anticoagulantes.
