Scope note: Anomalía congénita del sistema nervioso central que se caracteriza por una insuficiencia del desarrollo de las estructuras de la línea media del cerebelo, dilatación del cuarto ventrículo, y desplazamiento en sentido craneal de los senos transversos, tentorio y tórcula. Las características clínicas comprenden prominencia occipital, aumento progresivo del volumen de la cabeza, abombamiento de la fontanela anterior, papiledema, ataxia, trastornos de la marcha, nistagmo y compromiso intelectual.

Scope note: A congenital abnormality of the central nervous system marked by failure of the midline structures of the cerebellum to develop, dilation of the fourth ventricle, and upward displacement of the transverse sinuses, tentorium, and torcula. Clinical features include occipital bossing, progressive head enlargement, bulging of anterior fontanelle, papilledema, ataxia, gait disturbances, nystagmus, and intellectual compromise.
