Scope note: En la lucha contra los tumores malignos, es útil cuando los especialistas pueden compartir, a menudo un tratamiento prolongado, con diferentes modalidades. Además de la terapia operatoria, es necesaria la radiación, la quimioterapia y/o una combinación de radioquimioterapia. La teleoncología permite a los involucrados crear el llamado “coloquio” de oncología. No solo se pueden coordinar las citas, sino también cualquier seguimiento para proporcionar información a todos los pacientes. Cualquier interrupción de tratamiento necesaria que se desvíe del plan original se puede transmitir de forma rápida y sencilla.
