Scope note: 1,4-alfa-D-glucan-1,4-alfa-D-glucan 4-alfa-D-glucosiltransferasa--dextrina 6 alfa-D-glucanohidrolasa. Sistema enzimático con actividad 4-alfa-glucanotransferasa (EC 2.4.1.25) y amilo-1,6-glucosidasa (EC 3.2.1.33). Como transferasa, transfiere un segmento de un 1,4-alfa-D-glucano hacia una nueva posición 4 en un aceptor, que puede ser glucosa u otro 1,4-alfa-D-glucano. Como glucosidasa, cataliza la endohidrólisis de enlaces 1,6-alfa-D-glucosídicos en puntos de ramificación de las cadenas de residuos de alfa-D-glucosa enlazados en 1,4. En la enfermedad por almacenamiento de glucógeno tipo III se observa una deficiencia de la actividad de la amilo-1,6-glucosidasa.
