Scope note: Fragmento Fab del anticuerpo monoclonal quimérico 7E3 que se une al receptor de la glucoproteína IIb-IIIa de las plaquetas humanas y bloquea el COMPLEJO GPIIB-IIIA DE GLICOPROTEÍNA PLAQUETARIA, causando una potente inhibición de la AGREGACIÓN PLAQUETARIA. Se usa en el tratamiento de la angina inestable resistente al tratamiento y para la prevención de las complicaciones isquémicas en pacientes que se someten a intervenciones coronarias percutáneas como la ANGIOPLASTIA, la ATERECTOMÍA o la implantación de stents.
