Scope note: Complejo multiproteico evolutivamente conservado que funciona como sensor de la energía celular y regulador de la síntesis de proteínas para el crecimiento y la proliferación celular. Está formado por SERINA-TREONINA QUINASAS TOR, la PROTEÍNA REGULADORA ASOCIADA A MTOR (RAPTOR), la PROTEÍNA MLST8 y la proteína sustrato 1 de AKT1. La actividad del complejo está regulada por SIROLIMUS, INSULINA, FACTORES DE CRECIMIENTO, ÁCIDOS FOSFATÍDICOS, algunos aminoácidos o derivados de aminoácidos y el ESTRÉS OXIDATIVO.

Scope note: An evolutionarily conserved multiprotein complex that functions as a cellular energy sensor and regulator of protein synthesis for cell growth and proliferation. It consists of TOR SERINE-THREONINE KINASES; REGULATORY-ASSOCIATED PROTEIN OF MTOR (RAPTOR); MLST8 PROTEIN; and AKT1 substrate 1 protein. The activity of the complex is regulated by SIROLIMUS; INSULIN; GROWTH FACTORS; PHOSPHATIDIC ACIDS; some amino acids or amino acid derivatives, and OXIDATIVE STRESS.
