Scope note: A group of proteins that are salt-soluble and form a large fraction of BLOOD PROTEINS. There are three types of globulins, ALPHA-GLOBULINS, BETA-GLOBULINS, and GAMMA-GLOBULINS, which are distinguished from one another by their degree of electrophoretic mobility.
