Scope note: Término genérico utilizado para describir un grupo de polipéptidos con estructuras químicas y propiedades farmacológicas relacionadas que se hallan ampliamente distribuidas en la naturaleza. Estos péptidos son AUTACOIDES que actúan localmente para producir dolor, vasodilatación, aumento de la permeabilidad vascular y de la síntesis de prostaglandinas.
