Es una glicoproteína de 66 kDa que convierte el C3b en C3b inactivado (iC3b) seguido por la liberación de dos fragmentos, C3c (150 kDa) y C3dg (41 kDa). Anteriormente se lo denominó KAF C3bINF o inactivador enzimático 3b.
