Scope note: Serina/treonina proteína cinasa activada por dsARN e independiente del AMP cíclico, que es inducida por interferón. En presencia de dsARN y ATP, la cinasa se autofosforila en varios residuos de serina y treonina. La enzima fosforilada cataliza la fosforilación de la subunidad alfa del FACTOR DE INICIACIÓN EUCARIÓTICO 2, lo que produce inhibición de la síntesis proteica.
