Scope note: Complejo proteico heterotrimérico compuesto por subunidades de elongina A, de 110 kDa, elongina B, de 18kDa y elongina C, de 15 kDa. Funciona como regulador positivo de la ARN POLIMERASA II, aumentando su tasa de elongación transcripcional mediante la supresión de las pausas transitorias a lo largo de la plantilla de ADN. La elongina A es el componente transcripcionalmente activo; las elonginas B y C potencian su actividad.
